I am trying to find information about my Grandfather William (Bill) Pettet also known as Lofty. He was 6’6” to 6’8” tall. He served in Africa and Italy. I don’t know a lot more about him. He was based near Positano in Italy in a munitions base I think. Thanks for any help.

I believe we are related. If your Grandfather was William Alexander Pettet born 1918 at Ramsgate who married Ersilia Matonti born 1922 Italy. I can supply information about his family and before if that is any help to you.
