I believe my uncle fought in this regiment as my family is from the Punjab area now in Pakistan
As a child he use to tell stories of the battles in Italy, I could not relate to them as we were not taught at school of the contribution of the brave Indian soldiers.
I know my uncle was injured in Italy and had to return home.
Can I find any more information about if he was in the regiment and did he receive recognition.
Unfortunately he passes away in 1987 after a long battle with cancer. I now want to see he receives recognition for these forgotten brave soles
