Dear Italy Star members
I am taking part in a volunteer oral history project and am focusing on WW2 Indian Army veterans, and would be grateful for advice on 2 requests:
1. I would like to record the stories of Indian ex-servicemen, and in particular Sikhs who fought in the Italy campaign. If you would know of any veterans I could contact I would be very grateful. Any other advice or contacts would also be much appreciated of course.
2 I would also like to talk to any British soldiers who may have served alongside or met Sikh/Indian soldiers in Italy or elsewhere, or have any stories to relate. Whether through direct experience, or just those they heard at the time.
