  I’m doing some research into my Grandfather-in-law. His record shows him with 205 Field Company RE throughout the Italian Campaign. I have found a mention of a detachment from this unit was with 1st Airlanding Brigade but no other trace. Anyone on this site have any knowledge or information pertaining to this unit?

  No real help but I am struggling to find info!
  My Dad was in the 205 out of Maldon in about 1942/43 and was on “torch”, water proofing a Bren Carrier in the gravel pits near Colchester
