I am looking for information on my uncle Renzo Moscardini , his died 40 years ago.

He was an Italian star veteran and I have inherited his medals. The normal search on records does not show him . I have very little information on his career in the army during WW2. Everyone says he was a changed man after the war, from outing and friendly to very quite and introspective. I understand he worked as a translator as he was fluent in Italian. I recently heard quite a disturbing story about one particular incident in the war.

He never married and in one sense , because he died quite young was the forgotten uncle.
