      I’m wondering if someone could help me trying to find out when my Grandfather was awarded the Italian Star.
      He was in the Royal Navy and was on board HMS Nelson from May 1942- June 1943. During this time he was on the Malta convoy and involved in Op Torch. This was when he was awarded the Africa Star (I believe)
      From June – Oct 1943 hes was at HMS Mercury, Vernon and Mercury.
      From Oct 43- May 44 He was at HMS Nile in Alexandria.
      From May 44 – Apr 45 He was at HMS Hannibal and on the French Ship Jeanne D’Arc.
      And then onto HMS ST Angelo until 1946.

      He was also in Combined Ops

      If anyone could help me I’d be extremely grateful
